Features: The house has been lovingly refurbished and decorated with local antiques. The owner, a designer/ artist exhibits her original art on the ancient house walls. All bedding, towels and kitchen utensils are provided. Kitchen includes cooking utensils, stove, oven, fridge, and coffee machine .
Almost next door, in the square next to the house is one of the most pleasurable features of the area: the bakery! Several excellent restaurants are to be found in town, and nearby are several more, including the renown La Fargo. Summer swimming is refreshing in the Orbieu River, which winds its way through the village. Cycling and hiking in the Corbieres are a "weekend warrior's" dream.
Area Attractions and Nearby Activities: The key features of the area include the 8th century abbey, the vineyards, and just 30 minutes away - Carcassone - with its renown medieval walled city. Nearby are the mysterious Cathar Castles and several other monasteries.
