The Garden Cottage, a cabin rental, on the Chattahoochee River in the north east Georgia mountains near Helen Georgia
**NO STEEP DROPS TO RIVER***
This Farm house style rental cottage is a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath, tucked away on 13 total acres and is a wonderful place for a special occasion or romantic get away.
Summer months in the mountains of Georgia are filled with family fun! So much to do at the rental cabin you may never want to leave.
Spoil yourself with ultra thick feather padded beds,and feather comforters. Suggle up with the wonderful fire place in the master bedroom, or the fireplace in the living room.
In the master bedroom you can open the french door and snuggle in the hammock for two on the huge porch over looking the river!
It has a large hot tub tucked in a secluded spot on the screened in porch with a rock wall behind it.
The Garden Cottage is more upscale then most homes for rent in this area,and is the only cottages done in an old farmhouse style inside with boarded walls and high ceilings.
French doors in every room open up to the huge porches with river views.
Kayaks are available, and tubes are supplied from June- mid Sept. We even have a tube run, slide and a rope swing..great swiming area. There is a large flat rock to sit on in middle of river right in front of this cottage, perfect for lounging in the river.
Wildlife comes daily and you can watch the deer and wild turkey in your back yard. (not to mention Marshmellow the bear, who makes an appearance now and then)
The cottage's land is length-ways on the river so you have over 700'on the river.
.....Good fishing, bass and trout!..........
It is also an easy grade to the river, NO steep drops as with many homes in this area and our cottages are the cleanest in the area!!
There are 2TV's, DVD player with newer movies, Showtime and Stars with the satelite TV's, stereo with CD player and remote, gas grille,
This cottage will have all you will need to make a special weekend or your family vacation the best!!

10/22/08 Positive Nancy, we had a wonderful time. From the initial contact with you, the whole experience has been top drawer. If someone is looking for the perfect place to relax in an extraordinarily beautiful cottage surrounded by woods and river, this is it. We fished, built fires and explored the surrounding oommunities making for a perfect get away. Wish we could have stayed a week!

07/10/06 Positive As I told Nancy, I am in a nutshell very hard to please so when I say that the Garden Cottage is PERFECT it is my highest praise. It is charming and very well appointed, they have thought of your every comfort. We never once thought, "if only they had this, or if only they had that" ...it had it all! If you go you absolutely must go tubing, it was one of the highlights of our trips-we had a blast! The Garden Cottage is exactly as advertised and more-you will not be disappointed. We can't wait to go back!

10/15/08 Positive We just arrived back home on Sunday, Oct. 14 from staying in the garden cottage on the river for 4 days. It was wonderful! Everything was so nicely arranged and nothing left to want. The beds were very comfortable and the porches were great for relaxing. The cottage was very convenient for traveling to areas of interest--Dahlonega, Helen, Cleveland,
Dillard, etc. We hope to return in July for a whole week. Thanks to Nancy for being so gracious and welcoming to her property.

10/03/08 Positive sept.12-14th of 07 my grilfriend and i spent our vacation here at nana's cottage. and i have to say,just staying at the cottage alone made this my best vacation ever,bar none.we did'nt get to se the old bear named marshmallow,but i did catch a delicious trout.we never visited a place and not once had to ask for anything,nancy recommended sunburst stable for houseback riding.this was my first time on a horse.the horses were so welltrained i felt like a pro.thanks nancy for the recommandation and the extra day's stay.cant wait to come again, george and susan.

My boys and I spent a lot of time on the river (tubing, kayaking, rope swing, etc.)and my wife spent her time enjoying the peace and quiet on the porch of the Cottage. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice; it is truly a beautiful home. Nancy has thought of everything. Highly recommended!
