An idyllic Italian country cottage with wonderful castle views, in the tranquil heart of the Alto Monferrato wine region. Situated in a tiny hamlet, just outside Tagliolo Monferrato, a sought after location with a national Park backdrop. Several of the nearby properties are used as summer houses by the Genovese.

The cottage is newly furnished and restored with antique character features. It has two living rooms, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The downstairs living room has multilingual satellite TV. There are wood burning stoves for autumn evenings.

The rustic kitchen has a lovely exposed arch and traditional marble work tops with gas hob, grill-microwave and fridge freezer. Cooking equipment and a dining set for 4 +2 are all supplied.

Outside is parking for two cars and an enclosed rear courtyard with flowerbeds, garden furniture and BBQ.

Rental includes sheets and towels.

We love this area so much we live here!
Our cottage is located on the most scenic lane in Tagliolo. There are lovely walks through vineyards to the castle. Also ample opportunities for keen artists and photographers.

Tagliolo has local shops and a choice of good quality places to eat and drink. It also boasts one of the most impressive castles in the region. Vineyard visits are a must, especially the one next door to the cottage! 25 mins drive away can be found Acqui Terme with it's famous thermal baths. Ovada which is a historic market town is only 5 mins. away. The port of Genova is about 30 mins away. Here you can take a cruise to the Cinque Terre and Portofino. Alternatively see the famous palaces or aquarium.
