Baker area cabins, cottages, condos, chalets, and executive vacation home rental accommodations, located in the mountain villages of Glacier and Maple Falls, at the magnificent gateway to the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, and the adjacent Mount Baker Ski Area!
This deluxe 2-story 4+ bedroom high bank riverside home offers lots of extras! Outside you'll find a nice deck with a gas grill and a private hot tub. Inside on the 1st floor, you'll find one bedroom with 1-full bed, a 3/4-bath with a 4-person sauna, an open living/dining area with a window seat that provides a great lounging place for early morning coffee with river and mountain views, plus a freestanding woodstove (firewood provided), and a fully equipped kitchen. The 2nd floor features one bedroom with 1-queen bed, a second bedroom with 1-queen bed, and the master bedroom with 1-queen bed and a walk-out balcony, plus 1-full bath, and a laundry cubby with a stack washer/dryer. In addition, a private entrance leads to a mother-in-law suite with a futon and its own private 3/4-bath. This pet-friendly vacation property will sleep 8 to 10-persons (ENFORCED Maximum Occupancy!). RESERVATIONS:
Reservations are subject to a 2-night minimum stay during regular periods, and a 3-night minimum stay during holiday and special event periods.
An Advance Reservation Payment equal to the cost of 1-night's stay, including tax, is required to reserve a vacation property. The remaining balance is considered due-in-full 14-days prior to our Guest's scheduled date of arrival, and is automatically debited to our Guest's credit card on the scheduled due-date.

Why We Love Our Vacation Rental
Here in Whatcom County we have one of North America's most spectacular natural features literally in our backyard - Mount Baker. Long recognized as an important ski area, the Mount Baker Ski Area and its surrounding wilderness also offers tremendous opportunities for hiking, fishing, rafting, biking and even just simply sitting and mountain-gazing. Campgrounds exist in the area, for those so inclined, but for the rest of us, for whom "roughing it" means the dishwasher is on the fritz, there is a civilized alternative. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mount Baker Lodging's Villa Verde, also known as Vacation Home #19.
Villa Verde, so named for its soft green interior decor, sits on the banks of Glacier Creek. The privately-owned home has four bedrooms, two baths, a cathedral ceiling over the living room, a fireplace, lots of books, TV/VCR, stereo, a beautiful fully-equipped kitchen, linens and towels, a sauna and, outside on the deck, a hot tub. Upstairs, the master bedroom has its own private balcony, where one can sleep with the glass door open, listening the rushing water of the creek. You see, this combines the nice part of camping (the sounds and smells of the outdoors) without getting wet, muddy, or visited by multi-legged creatures.
Villa Verde is one of approximately 90 privately-owned homes offered for vacation rental by Mt. Baker Lodging. The homes range from fairly large and luxurious, like #19, to somewhat smaller and/or more rustic, although none would fall into the range of "roughing it". The homes can accommodate just one or two or up to 12 people, so its a great option for larger gatherings. During peak ski season, these homes are in demand - there is a two-night minimum stay on weekends and a three-night minimum on U.S. and Canadian holidays. The homes are, for the most part, located in one of the three gated communities in the Glacier area: Snowline, Glacier Springs or Mt. Baker Rim.
Now, don't get me wrong - I'm not against camping...as long as there's a working dishwasher...

My wife Carrie, and friends Stan and Terry just left from an exceptionally pleasant stay in Mt. Baker Lodging's Cabin #31. This cottage was exceedingly clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well outfitted, and we particularly enjoyed the private outdoor hot tub! We would highly recommend Mt. Baker Lodging to anyone visiting the Mount Baker area.
