Our downtown Athens, Greece apartment is the perfect furnished vacation rental for couples, families and groups of friends traveling together who are looking for an alternative to cramped European hotel rooms. It's also a perfect convention housing alternative for co-workers and collegues traveling to Athens for conferences at the Athens Hilton, Divani Caravel, Intercontinental and Ledra Marriott.
Our contemporary home was designed to offer this spoiled Midwestern girl with a typically American style home in the heart of this at once historic and modern metropolis, Athens. Located just a 15 minute walk from the Parthenon, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has verandas on two levels and a rooftop terrace with amazing city and Acropolis views.
Why We Love Our Vacation Rental
I love waking in the morning and enjoying my coffee while looking out at the Athens skyline - whether I am looking at the Acropolis or Mount Lykavittos with the beautiful Cycladic church on top or watching the clouds contrast over Mount Parnitha and Mount Imittos surrounding the city.
I love walking through the neighborhood in the early morning, where the merchants are sweeping the sidewalks and catching up on the latest gossip, stopping for a freshly made tiropita which I enjoy as I walking past the Kalimarmaro Stadium and into the National Gardens toward the Acropolis.

Acropolis View Penthouse a Must" – These are exceptional properties; all the charm of Greece but the amenities of traveling comfortably. We rented the Acropolis View and the room above for 4 nights in May. The accommodations were exceptional. The kitchen is well supplied should you choose to cook and enjoy a romantic meal on the rooftop with plane site of the Acropolis, lit spectacularly at night. If you choose to eat out, there are many choices near by or with easy access to mass transit or a $15 cab ride to the Plaka.
The owners provide the most comprehensive information of the area and "things to do" of any property we have rented in Europe. We used many of the recommendations including finding the local hardware store and talking with owner to gain insight to the local politics!
We would rent these properties again. We met the owners and were impressed with their attention to detail. Oopa!

Best Vacation Rental!
We are a family with 5 children and travel all over the world. We usually rent private homes and apts whenever possible. Of all the places we have stayed in, this one was the most welcoming. It was well equipped (did not have to limit oneself to the "one assigned towel per person" scenario, nor did we have to run out immediately to buy the basic amenities to be able to make it through the day. We had what we needed and felt very much at home. What was outstanding however, and what lacks in most vacation rentals all over the world is the "concierge" type of service that Carole and Basil offer. This was unprecedented. We were fortunate that they were in Athens at the time, however I am certain that if they were abroad they would only be a phone call away. They have a wealth of information at their fingertips. I really felt like we were visiting friends and they were genuinely interested in our time in Athens not just our time in their apt. Wonderful - hats off to them!

We started our trip at another apartment in Psirri. Great Apartment terrible area. Athens is a great city but like all cities not all areas are welcoming.
Then we discovered Acropolis View Beta Apartments in Pagarti. What a great apartment and we loved the area. We lived like Athenians for 10 great days.
The AV Beta apartment had everthing we could hope for. Fully equiped it enabled us to entertain family and friends. Despite short notice Carole made sure the apartment was in tip top shape and the many little touches ensured we felt at home the minute we moved in.
Truly a 'home away from home' Unlike many other internet sites AV Beta was actually much better than the web page indicated. Be warned in Athens it is not just the apartment that's important but the area surrounding. Athens is a city to live in and in Pagrati there were great local shops not to mention the fantastic Tuesday fruit and vegatible market. (five blocks of local produce.
When we visit Athens again we will certinally use AV Beta or one of the other great apartments operated by Carole abd Basil.
