It is rare to find such a wonderful pool and garden with accommodation for just two people - Couples so often find themselves having to pay for much bigger houses if they want to have use of a decent sized swimming pool and large garden.

This property is just outside a hill-top hamlet, which has long views over the Aude valley. On a clear day you can see the Pyrennees mountains in the far distance from the garden.

The large garden and luxurious swimming pool are a delight. A stand of mature pine trees leads to the well-kept lawn, interspersed with palms and flower beds. The pool (12 x 6m; 1-1.6m deep) and summer kitchen with built-in BBQ are sited away from the owner's house and are reserved for visitors' exclusive use until mid-afternoon and at-least two evenings per week. Both Monsieur and Madame work full-time so do not use the pool until after 6pm, but their daughter may share it with you from mid-afternoon onwards.
The first floor appartment, which has its own completely independent and private entrance and car parking, is very spacious and comfortable.

ACCOMMODATION
All on 1st floor: The spacious dining area and kitchen adjoin a most unusual sitting area, which could be described as a a 'neo-classical salon'. It has a low sloping ceiling, in-built seating and a three-foot Bernini statue (not an original we hasten to add!). Four steps lead up to the double bedroom and shower room with WC. Utility room off kitchen with washing machine and storage. Shady private terrace near entrance with small portable barbecue.

5000m2 of garden with pool. Poolhouse with cooker, fridge, shower and wc. Large stone-built barbecue and wood fired pizza oven.

The property is just outside a small hamlet, 3 km from Puisserguier, a typical Languedocian wine-village, with an attractive place and main street shaded by plane trees. (village shops, bank, bars, restaurant.)

Capestang 9 km. Restaurants, Canal du Midi.

St Chinian 13km Small market town, reknown for its AOC wines. Restaurants. Excellent market on Sundays.

Beziers 16 km. The cathedral dominates this busy market town, rising majestically above the river Orb. The lively Feria in August lasts five days; bull-fighting, paellas, flamenco dancing, and partying in the streets until the early hours of the morning.

Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc 30km North of Thezan are the mountains and rocky gorges of the Caroux mountains. Great canoeing on the river Orb.
