This spacious luxury apartment is situated on the 1st floor of a noble 19th century palazzo and has a view out over Piazza Trilussa in the heart of Trastevere, one of Rome?s oldest and most characteristic districts. The area was once the popular home of artisans and small traders attracted by the proximity of the docks on the south of the Tiber Island. Today the tradditional Trasteverian character remains, and there is always a warm response to poets who celebrate Rome in the local dialect. Along the noisy Viale di Trastevere, the side streets are packed with stalls and coster?s barrows beneath the benign watch of Madonnas lit up by small lanterns.
