Casa Susana is a popular vacation home, well equipped and comfortably appointed for enjoyable indoor-outdoor tropical living! Colorful Mexican decor combined with lovely architectural features (brick & tile ceiling domes, columed porches & palapa fringes) set the stage for a little luxury along with this laid-back lifestyle in La Cruz.

The kitchen is complete right down to the margarita glasses. The greatroom features an incredible stone dining table with colorful blown glass chandelier above, cable tv in the sitting area, and doors that open onto an outdoor terrace and poolside grill kitchen.

There are three bedrooms, two are master suites (one on the amin level, one upstairs.) Two bedrooms have king beds, the third has 2 doubles. Marble baths with showers (1 with a tub also.) Three great terrace areas make Casa Susana a great choice for family or couples vacations... plenty of room to gather, as well to retreat!

A nice private pool with tiny palapa (for some shade), outdoor gas grill, and lounges for sunning provides the tropical experience. A palapa-fringed covered poolside terrace (where most people "live") has small sofa, comfy chairs and lava stone table. A second story terrace has a chaise lounge, hanging lounge chair & awesome views of the marina. All linens, dishes etc, Washer & dryer, Cable tv, and Wireless internet is included.

 
Why We Love Our Vacation Rental
 
It's awesome to be able to just stroll into the village for La Cruz! You can walk the new malecon that encircles the marina or take the route through the town's blocks where you will encounter a wonderful slice of everyday life along the way. Little stores and restaurants are plentiful; evening activity in the plaza is always enjoyable.

When at Casa Susana, it is just so relaxing... the pool, the beautiful casa, four terrace areas... just a wonderful tropical vacation experience.

Best Places to Eat:
La Cruz has great dining experiences! Some favorites are: Huatchanango St Tacos (Sat and Sun only), Arriba Bar (above the La Cruz Inn... tell them Greg sent you!), Frascoti, Black Forest, Glorieta Restaurant (real good breakfasts, fish tacos and lobster dinners), Columbo (great local seafood mexican style) just to list a few. And tacos are abundant in La Cruz... nearly every corner has its own variety; we;ve never had one that wasn't delicious! The local beach restaurants serve very tasty fare as well, we especially like the bacon-wrapped shrimp served at Playa Manzanilla.
 
Amenities and House Features:
Feliz and Chauba (husband and wife team) have cared for Casa Susana ever since it was built, they are delightful, helpful and love to have guests! They interact as much or as little as guests like. Feliz provides housekeeping services three times per week, Chauba cares for the pool and plantings.
 
Area Attractions and Nearby Activities:
You can take a deep sea fishing charter right from the piers below Casa Susana, as well as snorkeling trips or ponga rides to the Marietta Islands. Fresh fish markets are there, for really the freshest seafood around (they wash & cut it to your liking, so you can just go slap it on your grill!)

The marina malecon is THE place to be early in the morning and in the evenings, when locals and vacationers alike take their strolls. A fresh squeezed juice bar is set up in the mornings, really convenient to walk out to the end, then stop for a cold healthful drink on your return.

A beautiful grande palapa houses the new Yacht Club, a wonderful shaded spot for an afternoon cold one, lunch or dinner. Their Sky Bar above offers incredible views of the entire Bay.

The village of La Cruz, as well as Bucerias nearby, are two wonderful villages where you can combine a tropical vacation with an authentic experience in a mexican village, so rich in the wonderful culture!

Nayarit (the State that La Cruz is in) is famous for its beautiful beaches, you can spend afternoons at a diifferent one nearly every day! Playa Manzanilla is a favorite local beach, right in La Cruz, shallow water for great swimming in the ocean. Colorful vendors, locals having fun together & great beach restaurants. It's hard to beat.... especially when you can retreat back to Casa Susana for a refreshing dip in your own pool when you've had enough exciitement for the day!
