And for some pure beach beauty, try Saline Beach on the southern side of the island – there is little to no development near this stretch of sand.

Small as it is, St. Barthelemy has its own history and you can visit one of three forts located on the Caribbean Island. Fort Karl is located near Shell Beach, on the southern part of the island, Fort Gustave is in the north, and Fort Oscar is at the end of the Gustavia Peninsula. These forts are fantastic photo opportunities and a great way to learn a little more about the island itself.
