Germany Vacation Fun Facts
Germany Rentals By Owner
Germany is famous for Oktoberfest, the Alps, and lots of beer drinking! When the country is well-known for its beautiful scenery and its rollicking good times, you know you’re in for a fantastic vacation rental experience! Start your German vacation in Berlin and visit some of the world’s most well-known historical sites. You can visit what remains of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery or in Potsdamer Platz. Take your picture with the famous "You are leaving the American Sector" sign at Checkpoint Charlie. Or gaze out the observation deck of the Reichstag, the German Parliament building. Make your next stop Munich, home of the world-famous Oktoberfest celebration. The Herrenhäuser Gärten, a 17th century homage to France’s Versailles Gardens, is a must-see during any time of year – although late spring is when its beauty is at its peak. The Tierpark Hellabrunn is a fantastic zoo for all members of the family and, being one of the world’s largest, will keep the little ones busy all day long. But, for a true taste of what Munich is known for, visit one of the biergartens and raise a stein of Germany’s finest local brew. Germany has plenty of natural wonders worth visiting as well – there are many national parks like the Bavarian Forest National Park, the Jasmund National Park, and the Wadden Sea National Parks. And the Franconian Switzerland (which is, confusingly, in Germany) is a popular tourist area due to its many caves, castles, and mountains. The Black Forest is well-known for its rustic beauty as well. So it doesn’t matter if you’re visiting the Neuschwanstein Castle or the Freiburg im Breisgau – with the Alps, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, and more country borders than any other country in Europe, there is plenty to explore during your German vacation rental! |
