Minocqua Vacation Rentals and Lodging
Minocqua is one of Wisconsin’s seasonal communities. Its mild and breezy summers make Minocqua a great summer residence. The surrounding lakes, like Lake Minocqua, Lake Shishebogama, and Squirrel Lake, make water recreation a popular past time during the summer months as well. For fishing enthusiasts, all of the Minocqua lakes specialize in walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass. Water-skiing, boating, and swimming are all things enjoyed on Minocqua’s water, but perhaps the most enjoyed is the Min-Aqua Bats show. Every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday evening in the summer, the amateur water-skiing teams puts on a show for its spectators. The free Min-Aqua Bats shows take place on the beautiful waters of Lake Minocqua. Torpy Park is the home of the beautiful beaches in Minocqua. Torpy Park ropes off a freshwater swim-section from June to September that allows free swim for all while being supervised by lifeguards. The park also has areas of grilling and picnicking. During the fall and winter months, also enjoy free ice skating in Torpy Park. Also during the colder months, Minocqua becomes a popular vacation destination for hunters. As a forested lake community, the wildlife in the area is abundant. Hunters enjoy the expansive public forests that allow both gun and archery hunting and trapping. Game most likely caught for sport includes whitetail deer, wild turkeys, and snowshoe hares. During the last week in September, the city hosts the annual Beef-A-Rama. The culinary festival highlights the cooks in the area. Minocqua is a small community that is sure to entertain. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
