One of the most important things in Honor, Michigan is salmon , specifically the Coho Salmon. Every year the city has a festival to celebrate the fish, appropriately named the Coho Festival. Coho Salmon are silver salmon with blue backs, and they are great to eat and to catch. The best time go out fishing for Coho Salmon is July through December.

If you’re not into salmon or fishing, then you’ll love that Honor is home to the only drive-in theater left in Michigan, the Cherry Bowl Drive-In . And the Cherry Bowl Drive-In offers a whole lot more than film watching. The theater has its own diner that features all sort of handmade treats, like caramel corn and ice cream. Their popcorn is also topped with real creamery butter and is cooked in the original popper from their 1953 opening. In between eating and catching a movie, there is also a 1950s style mini golf course complete with a windmill. There’s also a playground for children with a sandbox, hula hoops, and playhouses.

With tons of beautiful scenery , mild weather, and water nearby, Honor, Michigan is a great place to plan any outdoor activities.
