Broken Bow Lake is a spectacular lake with 180 miles of breathtaking shoreline. Scattered throughout the crystal clear water are tons of little islands prefect for a few hours of family exploration. Explore some of the scenic paths throughout - some have even been made specifically for senior citizens and young children to enjoy. If you have the chance to visit in the fall, you will be blown away by some of the amazing colors in the trees of the area. You will leave always having a picture in your mind of the beauty the city had to offer.
 
If you want to spend a little time inside or learning a little about the area, visit the Forest Heritage Center - a cute little forestry museum where children and adults can learn everything from how wooden bowls are made to interesting facts about the local forestry industry. The Gardner Mansion and Museum is an old mansion built back in 1884 for one of the chiefs of the Choctaws Indians, Jefferson Gardner. This museum is a wonderful way to learn about and see interesting artifacts from this historical tribe.
