It is a film festival that showcases all independent film premieres, as well as parties and events to promote the actors and movies. For a history lesson, visitors should check out the Breckenridge National Historic District. When the town was reaching its 100 year anniversary, it decided that it needed to preserve its rich history that is immersed in mining and the frontier. The town’s National Historic Building is the biggest in Colorado, and it includes information on the gold fever era, examples of the old Victorian architecture, and delves into the beautiful landscape and heritage.
