South Haven is full of off-the-beaten-path tourist attractions. Perhaps the most famous is the Michigan Maritime Museum. The museum features historical watercrafts, boat motors and engines, and maritime art. The most famous attraction featured at the Michigan Maritime Museum is the ship Friends Good Will. While visiting the museum it is actually possible to purchase a ticket to climb aboard Friends Good Will and takes to the seas for a bit. Guests can also tour the Keeper’s House and the HarborWalk while on the premises.
 
The other popular museum in the area is the Michigan Flywheelers Museum. This museum is dedicated to preserving and recreating the history of the farmers in the area. The museum houses old tractors and other farming equipment, space set up to look like the old town jail, and an exhibit dedicated solely to telling the stories of the farmers.
 
Another great attraction of South Haven is Foundry Hall. Foundry Hall is a great venue for all sorts of traveling musical groups, comedy acts, and other performances.
 
For a blast from the past, the city has a great restaurant to try out. The 50’s Drive In is a restaurant with the classic drive-in style and food. For the more refined palette, grapes are big in the region, so check out one of the many great wineries that are just a short drive away from South Haven.
 
During colder weather months, South Haven also has an ice-skating rink open to the public.
