The island of Little Inagua is located five miles from Great Inagua in the Bahamas. A national park with no inhabitants, Little Inagua is home to an endangered species of sea turtle that nests in the undisturbed wilderness. Wildlife abounds here, including wild ducks, goats, donkeys, and all kinds of amazing tropical birds. A huge variety of flamingos can be found, drawn by the Morton Salt Company to nearby Great Inagua.
 
The island is a beautiful tropical paradise completely untouched by development. While you can’t stay here, it is a wonderful day trip destination from nearby islands like Great Inagua. It is the most inaccessible island in all of the Bahamas, bounded by many shallow and sharp coral reefs. If you travel here, make sure you are an expert at navigating the treacherous shallows—or better yet, hire a knowledgeable local guide to bring you to the island!
 
If you can make it here safely, it’s worth the trip. You will probably have the entire island to yourself, and enjoy hiking, swimming, relaxing, picnicking, and birdwatching on this pristine island. Little Inagua National Park is a fascinating destination to visit from your Caribbean Island vacation rental!
