Stamford, Connecticut is the fourth largest city in the United States according to the 2007 Census Bureau. Located near the southwestern point of Connecticut in Fairfield County, Stamford Connecticut is a wonderful place to visit for those that like to be kept busy.
 
Traveling in and out of Stamford will not be a problem. Stamford, Connecticut is located within forty-five minutes of four major airports, Westchester County Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia, and Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport. Stamford also serves as a station along the Amtrak route and is located on a main branch of the New Haven Line on the Metro-Railroad. This is a commuter rail system for northern metropolitan New York City.
 
While visiting Stamford, whose motto is  The City That Works , you can spend time at one of the local public beaches at Cummings Park or Cove Island Park. Then you can head off to the French Market and have a taste of the fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods. If you are interested in the arts, you can visit the Palace Theatre, home of the Stamford Symphony, Connecticut Grand Opera and location of many off-broadway musicals and concerts. Stamford nightlife is always a blast with many different restaurants, lounges and dance clubs to choose from throughout the city.
