Wilmington, Delaware is the largest city in the state. The city is located in New Castle County at the confluence of the Christina River and Brandywine Creek.
 
Making the trip to Wilmington would definately be a ton of fun for anyone. If you are looking for someplace to explore the great outdoors, there are 4 major parks to explore: Brandywine Park, also the location of the Brandywine Zoo home of over 120 animals, Alapocas Woods Natural Area, H. Fletcher Brown Park, and Rockford Park. You can even try kayaking at the Riverfront Wilmington.
 
If you are looking for a fun place to shop and dine you can start at the Market Street Mall, a six-block pedestrian concourse located in the heart of downtown Wilmington. On another day, take a drive to the Riverfront Wilmington where you can spend the day shopping, watch the Wilmington BlueRocks, a Minor League baseball team, play a game, and then spend the evening dining out and eating some Wilmington seafood at the posh C.W Harborside, or sit overlooking the Christina River at Timothy’s Riverfront Grill, a fun casual atmosphere voted  home of the best wings and best happy hour in Delaware .
