Come visit the city of Columbus, Georgia, located in Muscogee County. Columbus is the third largest city in Georgia and is part of Georgia’s three FallLine cities, along with the cities of Augusta and Macon. These three cities are called the FallLine cities because they lie where the hilly lands of the Piedmont Plateau meet the flat terrain of the coastal plain.
 
There are so many things to do when vacationing here in Columbus, especially if you are interested in war history. The first museum you can visit is the National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus. This museum holds two original American Civil War military vessels, uniforms, weapons, equipment, and many other artifacts used by the Union and Confederate navies.
 
The next museum you can tour is the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center at Patriot Park. This museum captures the heroic stories of everyday infantry men and holds a collection of over 30,000 artifacts. When you are done taking a look at these, you can spend the second part of your time there eating at their full service restaurant, watching a movie in their IMAX theatre, or just looking around in their gift shop.
 
Another neat museum to visit is the Coca-Cola Challenge Space Center. Here you can learn about science, physics, and astronomy. Once you have spent some time looking at everything inside the museum, you can experience hands on exhibits and a truly exciting show in the Omnisphere.
