Idaho Falls, Idaho is the largest city in Southeastern Idaho and the third largest metro area in Idaho, just behind Boise and Coeur d’Alene. Idaho Falls serves as the commercial hub for Eastern Idaho, offering the conveniences of a big city surrounded by the natural beauty of an outdoor paradise. Idaho Falls is shadowed by the magnificent mountain range of the Grand Tetons and, in the center of the city of Idaho Falls, you will find yourself charmed by the enchanting Snake River that runs through the core. The grandeur of the Snake River greenbelt is captured on scenic six mile route where vacationers hike, bike and jog along the paved Snake River trail.
 
The city of Idaho Falls is divided into three unique neighborhoods. The Historic Downtown area is home to eateries and the location of many outdoor summer events; the tree-lined Numbered Streets neighborhood was the first neighborhood in Idaho Falls; and across the Snake River close to the Idaho Falls Regional Airport is the up and coming West Side neighborhood. Activities in Idaho Falls include several festivals and local museums -- and while in town, be sure to catch a game of the local favorite and Kansas City Royals affiliate the minor league Idaho Chuckars.
 
In the backyard of Idaho Falls is in the world famous Yellowstone National Park. Idaho Falls is also just a short drive to several mountain resorts, including Kelly Canyon Ski Resort in Ririe, Grand Targhee Resort in Alta and Jackson Hole in Jackson, WY.
 
Golf is offered at numerous nearby courses including two in Rexburg, the Rexburg Golf Course and Teton Lakes. Museums you may want to visit are the Museum of Natural History in Pocatello and the Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho. For a glimpse at a natural wonder, visit Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho. Shoshone is especially breathtaking in the spring when the water flow is the heaviest.
