For another gambling fix, guests of the city can also visit the local track, Mount Pleasant Meadows . Mount Pleasant Meadows is the home of many different thoroughbreds, and offers tons of action and excitement on the weekends.
 
To fill the day—before taking on the fabulous nightlife—guests can visit one of the 13 golf courses in the area. All of the courses are part of Golf Central Michigan , a company that takes exceptional care of their greens and guests.
 
The area is also rich in parks. From the Chipp-A-Waters Park to the Mt. Pleasant Skate Park, tourists can always find something to do outdoors. Canoeing is a huge sport in Mount Pleasant. The Chippewa River runs through town and is used for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. The river is also used for fishing and as a great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife. Many parks, like the Access Adventure Trail, have great nature and hiking trails .
 
If you’re not a hiking-enthusiast, another great way to check out the terrain is on the Mountain Town Limited Dinner Train. The restored railway dining car provides great atmosphere for the leisurely meal and sight-seeing. The dinner is four-courses, and is a great way to view the Central Michigan countryside of Mount Pleasant.
