Duluth, Minnesota is in St. Lois County, which is located in the westernmost point of the Great Lakes on the north shore of Lake Superior. Duluth, along with Superior Wisconsin, forms the metropolitan area called The Twin Ports. These two cities together share the Superior Harbor. This area is a great destination to visit for anyone looking for a good time!
 
If you are traveling with children you can start your trip by visiting the Great Lake Aquarium. This aquarium is the United States' only all-freshwater aquarium. Here you can find many interactive exhibits, 20 different tanks, and over 70 species of freshwater fish! Another fun activity to do with children is to go on a Duluth Superior Excursion on the 1,000 foot Vista Fleet. On this excursion, take a little cruise on Lake Superior and eat some pizza and ice cream while enjoying some fun entertainment for people of all ages!
 
During the month of February in Duluth, come watch the Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. Here racing sled dogs are entered in a 400 or 150 mile race, a truly unique experience. This event goes along with the 1994 film "Iron Will" that was filmed right in Duluth.
 
A few other things to do or visit while in the city of Duluth are a free concert in Chester Park during the summer, or the Bayfront Blues Festival, which is held every year in early August and is perfect for music lovers. For the art enthusiast, spend some time enjoying the beautiful art at the Duluth Art Institute at Duluth Depot. Lastly, for all those gamblers out there, spend a night having a little fun at the Fond-du-Luth Casino downtown -- maybe you will get lucky!
