Saint Paul is the capitol of Minnesota, located in Ramsey County on the north bank of the beautiful Mississippi River. There is a wide variety of activities for anyone visiting the city to tour and discover.
 
If you are going to be in the city of Saint Paul in January, you will have the pleasure of being part of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. The Winter Carnival has been a tradition in Saint Paul dating all the way back to 1886. During the carnival, you can see a variety of incredible ice sculptures, a beautiful ice palace, a winter parade, a torchlight parade, and many runners braving the cold to run a 5K. There is also a variety of winter food to eat while you are watching all the endless entertainment.
 
If you are coming to the city with your children, you will definitely have to make a stop at the Minnesota Children’s Museum. Here there are plenty of hands-on activities for children from 6 months to 10 years old. The kids will have tons of fun experiencing new and exciting activities. You will also want to spend some time at the Como Zoo and Conservatory. The kids will love all the interesting animals from all over the world!
 
Another neat museum to visit is The Schubert Club Museum of Musical Instruments. Here you can look at musical instruments from all over the world -- from woodwinds, strings and percussion, to phonographs and music boxes. This is a very educational and unique museum!
 
If you want to get a taste of the nightlife here in Saint Paul, Minnesota, make a stop at The Minnesota Music Café just about any day of the week. Drink a beer and listen to one of the many bands that play here. In the mood for something a little more rowdy? Spend a night at the Dubliner’s Pub one of Saint Paul’s most popular Irish pubs. They don’t have a menu, but they serve unlimited popcorn and have an extensive drink menu!
