Gulfport, Mississippi is a pretty and quiet city located in Harrison County, Mississippi. The city is in the process of rebuilding after the devastating Hurricane Katrina hit in August of 2005. This city has some incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico and fun things to do while in the city!
 
Spend the day on a Ship Island Excursion. One this excursion, you will take a 22 mile round trip adventure to Ship Island. On the island you will discover some of the finest beaches around! Pack a picnic lunch, a good book and some sand toys, and enjoy the peacefulness and beauty the island has to offer! While on the boat, keep your eyes open for men hard at work on shrimp boats and tugs – or maybe you’ll even get a chance to see Atlantic Bottle-nosed dolphins jumping and playing out in the wake of the boat. This is truly an adventure the entire family will love!
 
Take the children to Mississippi’s only Children’s Museum, The Lynn Meadow’s Discovery Center. Many of the activities here give children and adults the opportunity to learn about Mississippi’s past and present, and many other educational things through interactive and entertaining exhibits. The museum even has 6 acres of outdoor areas that include a tree house village, cabins, and many other areas to discover.
