Warrensburg is a cute little city located in Johnson County, Missouri. This is the perfect city to visit if you are trying to get away from the crazy fast-pace of big city living.
 
There are plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful outdoors in Warrensburg. There are 7 walking trails located throughout the city, ranging in length from 0.6 miles to 3.5 miles. This is an easy way to get in your daily workout and while enjoying the great scenery around you.
 
One really neat park to visit is Blind Boone Park, named after John William "Blind" Boone. This park was originally built during the segregation of the African American community. Recently the park has been renovated, saving one of the original double-sided BBQ grills. This way the park is keeping some of its past, but opening new doors for its future. This park now has a "Sensory Walkway" which encourages visitors to use all 5 of their senses to enjoy everything surrounding them. You can eat lunch in the beautiful new gazebo or relax in the sculpture garden.
 
After spending the day enjoying the outdoors, take the family to one of the local restaurants. Monetti’s Pizzeria & Ristorante is the perfect place to eat with the gang for a casual night out. Indulge in a slice (or two!) of their fabulous New York style pizzas, along with some Italian sausage or fried calamari. If you want to step it up a bit, spend the evening enjoying Hero’s Restaurant & Pub. Here you can enjoy a flavor-filled filet mignon or a Hero’s Chicken Fried Steak. There are great choices on the kids menu for your children as well. End your meal with a brew or a fun drink from the restaurant’s full-service bar.
