Maryland is a state richly involved in our country’s history. Vacation renters visiting the 7th state can enjoy a trip steeped in historic attractions and surround themselves with artifacts dating back to the early days of our great country. Antietam, the first major Civil War battle to take place on Northern soil, is located in Western Maryland. The national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner", was penned on Maryland ground.
