Hoboken, New Jersey lies on the west bank of the Hudson River. It is located directly across from Manhattan, and is home to Stevens Institute of Technology, one of the oldest technological universities in the United States. Hoboken is a very popular place with lots to do.
 
Head on down to Pier A, which is an exceptional waterfront park in Hoboken. Originally used as a working pier for ships, it was later turned into a park in 1999. You can view the entire Manhattan skyline from this park. Pier A has bike paths, a water-jet fountain, a fishing area, gazebo, and breathtaking scenery. In the summer time, they show movies out on the lawn with the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline behind the screen.
 
Another park located near Pier A is the Frank Sinatra Park. This park honors Frank Sinatra, who was born in Hoboken. It features soccer fields and a café.
 
Come watch, listen, and be a part of the Shakespearean days with The Actors Shakespeare Company. The Actors Shakespeare Company is comprised of a large group of actors who are dedicated to the study of classical works by Shakespeare and who put on performances that include the audience in the story and the life of the characters as well.
 
Hoboken holds festivals and fairs regularly in the city. One of those events occurs in the fall and centers on the area’s annual apple picking. Some of the top places to go for this fun activity are at Apgar Cider Press or Battleview Orchards.
 
Grab some dinner at the famous Melting Pot for some out-of-this-world , or eat a slice of true Hoboken pizza at one of the many pizzerias such as Benny Tudino’s, which is famous for its large slices. Spend a night out on the town at Lana, a dance club with three floors and an on-site restaurant, or Lua a trendy restaurant and lounge with views of the Hudson River and Manhattan.
