Princeton, New Jersey, the home of the famous Princeton University, was named #15 out of the top 100 towns to work and live in by Money Magazine.
 
A great spot to try some fun outdoor activities is at The Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park. You can canoe, kayak, and go fishing. They also have trails for hiking, jogging, horseback riding, and bicycling. One of the most popular and beautiful sections of the D&R Canal state park is the path along Lake Carnegie. It features the lake on one side of the path and the canal on the other. Although a private lake, it is still open to tourists who can use it for ice skating, fishing (Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and Channel Catfish), and picnicking.
 
Another great park to go to is the Princeton Battlefield State Park. This is a 100-acre state park located in Princeton. The park maintains the site of the Battle of Princeton.
 
Located on the park is the Clarke House Museum, which was built by the third generation of Quakers. It is furnished in the Revolutionary period style, and showcases military artifacts and a research library. The Mercer Oak tree, which stood in the middle of the battlefield, can be found still alive at the park.
 
Check-out the Herrontown Woods Arboretum which contains pine forest, over 30 species of trees, flowers, and a walking trail all preserved in its natural state.
 
Get your vacation shopping done at the Princeton Forrestal Village, a 52 acre retail and office complex that is home to the famous Ruth’s Chris Steak House – diners there can always expect an unbelievable steak and upperscale atmosphere. You can also go to the Palmer Square, which has a collection of shops and restaurants.
 
After dinner have a good laugh at Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club. This is a casual, friendly atmosphere where the comedians like to get the audience involved. Food and drinks are available during the show.
