Located in southwest North Dakota, Dickinson is a great, low-key vacation destination. The area is known for its great golfing at beautiful courses like the Heart River Golf Course.
 
Throughout the summer, the city holds the Prairie Cruisers Cruise Nights which attracts all types of hot rods and antique cars that gather in a restaurant parking lot for residents and visitors both to enjoy. Also, throughout the summer is a local farmers market on every Tuesday and Saturday held in the Remco lot.
 
There are tons of nature trails and parks throughout the city of Dickinson. Lake Tschida is also located in southwestern North Dakota and is popular for all types of sporting activities and fishing. Swimming is also quite popular on Lake Tschida, a man-made lake that was created in 1949.
 
Lake cabin rentals are popular in the area to enjoy outdoor scenery and sports that are prevalent in North Dakota. Along the banks of the water and through the lush landscape, both hunting of white tail deer and water fowl are popular.
 
One of the most popular eateries in Dickinson is Baker Boy. Baker Boy is an amazing bakery that boasts over 400 varieties of baked goods, including cakes, donuts, specialty breads and buns, garlic toast, and pretzels.
