Stillwater, Oklahoma, also known as "Cowboy Country", is a fantastic city located in Payne County Oklahoma. Stillwater was founded in 1884 and has been steadily growing every since. Most recently the city has had a major increase in youth population.
 
The city of Stillwater is a perfect city for young adults to settle, with strip malls and shopping malls popping up all over and its close proximity to Oklahoma State University. If you are looking for a memorable night, out grab the gang and head to "The Strip". "The Strip" is located between 6th Street and University Street with many other bars and restaurants within walking distance. The legendary Eskimo Joe’s is a very popular meeting place with live bands, pool tables, and mouth watering cheese fries and burgers! Many of the bars and taverns here have generated some very popular bands such as the All American Rejects. For those out there that are Garth Brooks fans, grab a beer at Willie’s Saloon. This saloon is where Garth Brooks had his first live performance.
 
Nightlife is not the only great activity in Stillwater - during the day test out one of 5 fantastic golf courses in and near the city. Stillwater as been rated one of the "Top 10 Places to Retire and Play Golf" and is also home to Karsten Creek Golf Club, a recognized "Five Star" course.
 
Oklahoma State University is such a huge part of the city and has some fascinating museums and architecture to take a look at. For those sports enthusiasts, you might just be in town to watch the Oklahoma State Cowboys in action at the Boone Pickens Stadium. Boone Pickens Stadium holds up to 60,000 fans and is considered by many as one of the greatest football facilities in the country.
 
There are also many fascinating museums where you can spend a few days roaming the halls. Two unique museums are the Pfeiffer Farm Collection, which holds a large variety of antique farm equipment, and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. The National Wrestling Hall of Fame highlights amateur and Olympic US wrestling, and is definitely one of a kind.
