Like a lot of the state of Utah, Logan was founded by Mormon settlers, and the layout of the city and its landmarks mirror this. Located on the highest hill in the city is the Logan Utah Temple . It is nestled in the Rocky Mountains such so that it can be seen for miles in all directions. Modeled after the famous Salt Lake Temple , the grand Logan Utah Temple has two prominent towers and a large assembly room. Temple is held every day of the week except for Mondays.
 
Also, like most Mormon cities, a main street runs throughout the whole town as the center of all activity and commercial business. Businesses and restaurants line Main Street, from law offices to quaint local cafes, like Urbanspoon, a great place for coffee and dessert.
 
Close to Main Street is Center Street. Many of the houses found on Center Street are on the National Historic Landmark register and are worth visiting for their beauty while in Logan.
 
Logan is known as the home to Utah State University . The University district of the city is located in the eastern portion and helps bring a great cultural dynamic to the city. The library on campus, the Merill-Cazier Library, is rich in archives of local history, prose, and poetry, and is worth visiting to learn more about the history of the city and region.
 
Nothing else in Logan can really beat the grand presence of the Logan Utah Temple high on its hill, so visit Logan to become impressed with the 19th century craftsmanship.
