The natural beauty of Moab is what makes it truly vacation worthy. People from all over the world journey to the city yearly to visit Arches National Park . The park is known for its thousands of sandstone arches that it takes great care to preserve.
 
The most famous of the structures at Arches National Park is the Delicate Arch. As the picture on the Utah license plate, the Delicate Arch is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the state, and it is located at the top of a moderately strenuous, three mile round trip hiking trail. Other notable sandstone formations in Arches National Park are Balanced Rock, which is roughly the size of a school bus, Courthouse Towers, many tall stone columns, and Landscape Arch, which is a long, thin arch that is the largest in the world.
 
Other national parks in the area are known for their strenuous mountain biking trails, and every year, Moab hosts the Moab Jeep Safari to test out these trails. In the week leading up to Easter in the spring, the Moab Jeep Safari attracts 4-wheelers from all over the nation to try out the tough terrain of Utah’s back country. Jeeps are available for rental in the area for those wishing to participate.
 
Other attractions of the area include the Museum of Moab —a science museum that specializes in geology—whitewater rafting down the Cataract Canyon, and the Moab Brewery, which is known for its local brew. The rugged beauty of Utah makes Moab worth a visit.
