North Dakota Rentals By Owner

North Dakota is an outdoor-lover’s dream for a vacation rental site! With more wildlife refuges than any other state in America and many opportunities for ice fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, and hiking, you’ll never be at a loss of things to do during your vacation rental in North Dakota.

Devil’s Lake, the state’s largest natural lake, is a natural habitat for many different species of birds and also is home to Spirit Lake Casino and Resort, a Native American owned establishment. Dickinson, North Dakota, the Gateway to the Badlands, has the Dakota Dinosaur Museum. And Fargo is home to Bonanzaville – a pioneer village full of historic buildings from the area.

For a visit to North Dakota’s lesser-known heritage, visit Minot, North Dakota. Minot is home to the Scandinavian Heritage Park which is complete with a visitor’s center and numerous Scandinavian buildings. Be sure and visit in the fall during Norsk Hostfest, America’s biggest Scandinavian-American festival.

And it should come as no surprise that North Dakotans like things big – the town is home to three unique "world’s biggest" titles: New Salem is home to Salem Sue, the world’s biggest cow; Wahpeton can boast Wahpper, the world’s biggest catfish; and Jamestown has the world’s biggest buffalo right in the center of the town’s Frontier Village. However, if you prefer your animals a little more alive, stick around Jamestown and say hello to White Cloud, an albino buffalo. Albino buffalos are considered lucky and White Cloud recently had a calf, Dakota, who is believed to be a true albino as well – this phenomenon is truly rare and the North Dakotans are very proud of their little family.

If you need a little "big city" action on your vacation rental, North Dakota has Broadway musicals that tour through Fargo and Grand Forks has the North Dakota Museum of Art, a Japanese Garden in Sertoma Park, and eleven separate skating rinks and ice areas! But that’s still hard to compare to North Dakota’s simply natural beauty and all the vacation rental recreation opportunities you can enjoy under the bright northern sun.
