As the capital city of the state of Washington, Olympia is a very historic and entertaining vacation rental spot. The city takes great care to preserve and display the history of the state.
 
One of the best ways to enjoy the beauty of Washington is in one of Olympia’s many parks. The Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conservation Area prides itself on its well-preserved wetlands and waterfront land. The Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conservation Area is a great place to go in Olympia to enjoy nature or some wildlife viewing or bird watching. The big recreational park in the area is Percival Landing Park, which is equipped with trails, a playground area for children, and tons of open space within the city to take time out and maybe even have a picnic. For the younger crowd, Yauger Park is home to a public skate park .
 
Olympia’s historic buildings , including the Washington State Capitol Building , are well-preserved and definitely worth visiting while in the city. The Capitol Theatre is another historic building in the city, designed in the art deco style, that is also one of the cultural homes of Olympia. The Capitol Theatre is the home of the Olympia Film Society that puts on an annual film festival. The theatre also hosts All Freakin’ Night, a night of horror film watching in November that is affiliated with the town’s internationally recognized Olympia Film Festival . Olympia also has a biannual Arts Walk that highlights the local and regional art of the area.
 
Olympia, Washington preserves its state history very well and is definitely worth visiting and learning more about the nature and art of Washington.
