The Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conservation Area prides itself on its well-preserved wetlands and waterfront land. The Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conservation Area is a great place to go in Olympia to enjoy nature or some wildlife viewing or bird watching. The big recreational park in the area is Percival Landing Park, which is equipped with trails, a playground area for children, and tons of open space within the city to take time out and maybe even have a picnic. For the younger crowd, Yauger Park is home to a public skate park . Olympia’s historic buildings , including the Washington State Capitol Building , are well-preserved and definitely worth visiting while in the city.
