Pullman, Washington is known as the home of Washington State University , an establishment that adds a lot of culture and history to the city.
 
Throughout Washington State University’s grounds there are many sculptures, and one of the most popular attractions of the campus is to go up to College Hill and take an art walk. The art walk can be done without a guide, but the WSU Museum of Art also gives guided walking tours.
 
The WSU Museum of Art is also home to many permanent collections worth checking out while on campus. The collections were chosen by a former University president and have an emphasis on Northwestern artists . Other museums on campus include a museum of anthropology and of natural history.
 
Washington State University is also home to many Pac 10 sports —the two most popular being football and basketball. A game in the great stadiums and arenas at Washington State University is definitely worth checking out while in Pullman.
 
Other cultural attractions of the city include the Washington-Idaho Symphony, the Washington Concert Chorale, and many traveling shows and performers frequent the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum .
 
In nearby Moscow, Idaho, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival takes place for the month of February. The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival attracts younger, aspiring musicians from all over the United States to partake in workshops, performances, and enjoy concerts from many celebrated jazz musicians.
