One of the best views of Tacoma, Washington is overlooking its port, across the water, and towards Mount Rainier . Many different spots in Tacoma have great views of this grand mountain.
 
The view is arguably greatest looking out over one of Tacoma’s many neighboring communities, Brown’s Point . This view is best enjoyed during Brown’s Point’s annual Salmon Bake. The Brown’s Point Salmon Bake is held at the lighthouse on the first weekend of August—but only in even numbered years!
 
Tacoma is also the home to many annual festivals. The Daffodil Festival is a yearly parade and competition that highlights the lovely flower and selects a lovely young resident to act as Miss Daffodil for the year. The festival takes on the feel of a huge garden party. Products of local gardens are also appreciated at the Tacoma Farmer’s Market , which is open every Thursday in May through September.
 
Culture thrives in downtown Tacoma . The Museum of Glass, a glass art museum, is a popular tourist destination, as well as Tacoma Art Museum , and America’s Car Museum. All types of art and craftsmanship are revered in Tacoma.
 
Each year the Tacoma Opera performs two professional operas at the beautiful Pantages Theatre . The Pantages Theatre, one of the three remaining theatres named after the early motion picture producer, is part of the Broadway Center for Performing Arts. Along with two other theatres, the Broadway Center for Performing Arts is a cultural and historical must-see in Tacoma.
 
Outdoor recreation is possibly the biggest draw in Tacoma, so if you’re a traveler who loves to spend their time outdoors, possibly hiking, biking, or white-water rafting , then Tacoma is a great vacation rental spot for you.
