Oshkosh is a small city located on two rushing rivers in Wisconsin. Because it is situated in the Fox River Valley where the Fox River runs into Lake Winnebago, water recreation is huge in the city. Locals have found ways to enjoy Lake Winnebago in both the mild summers and frosty winters. Boating activities enjoyed on the lake include sailing, speed boating, water skiing, and winter ice boating. The Lake is also home to both fishing and ice fishing competitions. Common fish caught in Lake Winnebago include walleye, sturgeon, and catfish. Four wheelers and snow mobiles are also aplenty in their respective times of the year.
 
The biggest annual event in Oshkosh takes place at the world renowned Experimental Aircraft Association. Every year hundreds of thousands visit the city to enjoy the air show put on by the Experimental Aircraft Association. In the last week of July, the facility hosts air shows, live entertainment, food, educational exhibits, and even offers the opportunity to go up in the skies. The Fox River Brewing Company is the most popular dining experience in Oshkosh. Fratello’s, an Italian-inspired eatery with a pub atmosphere, is located at the Fox River Brewing Company, so you can enjoy a great microbrew along with dishes like prosciutto chicken skewers and butternut ravioli and cinnamon pork tenderloin.
