Every year in late September, Mt. Snow Valley hosts the Vermont Wine and Harvest Festival . Referred to as Vermont’s official food and wine festival, the festival celebrates the culture of the state, its wine, food, crafts, and art. More specifically, Vermont cheese and specialty food makers, painters, photographers, jewelers and farmers all showcase their goods and creations at the Vermont Wine and Harvest Festival. Throughout the weekend, there are wine pairing dinners, art shows, and a Bluegrass Bar-be-que. All of this Vermont culture is set against the backdrop of its gorgeous fall atmosphere, complete with crisp weather and changing foliage.
 
Summer and fall are the most popular times to visit the Mt. Snow Valley , but f you can’t make it in late September for the festival, don’t worry there’s still tons of entertainment. The valley is home to the small villages of Wilmington, Dover, and Whitingham, as well as the Mt. Snow Ski Resort . They all house their own cultural venues, such as the Vermont Jazz Center, Town Hill Pottery, and the Memorial Hall Center for the Arts.
 
A main draw for Wilmington is its farmer’s market. The Wilmington Farmer’s Market runs from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, every Saturday, and sells local produces, maple syrups, cheeses, and plants.
 
Outdoor recreation is a staple of life in Vermont in the warmer months. Skiing is, of course, popular all year, but seasonally kayaking, hiking and biking on the many lush trails, and golfing are all popular past times in the Mt. Snow Valley. Any time of the year, the great scenery of Vermont makes the Mt. Snow Valley a great vacation destination.
