Old Saybrook Vacation Rentals and Lodging

Old Saybrook, Connecticut is a beautiful town located in Middlesex County. Old Saybrook is filled with interesting history being that it is one of the oldest towns and settlements in the state of Connecticut and the United States.
 
You can spend a day enjoying the amazing scenery of Connecticut River or the Long Island Sound. Do this by taking a long stroll, or relaxing on the beach in Saybrook Point Park. You can also enjoy a picnic and watch the boats float in and out of the marina. Another interesting park to visit is Fort Saybrook Monument Park. Here you can take a walk through history in this 18 acre area during a free walking tour on the shoreline at Saybrook Point. During the tour you will be able to see the mouth of the Connecticut River, the boardwalk, and possibly get in some bird watching.
 
Spend some time going through one of the neat antique shops or restaurants in town and enjoy the area where Katharine Hepburn and African American novelist Ann Petry once resided. It is hard to pass up a week in this beautiful, historic town of Old Saybrook, Connecticut.
