The best time to visit the Snoqualmie Pass is during the winter to fully enjoy what the area has to offer. Skiers of all levels are sure to find what they are looking for on the Pass. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing at the two most popular past-times on the mountains. The Summit at Snoqualmie is part of a bigger group of summits that also consists of Alpental, Summit West, Summit Central, and Summit East. All of the Summits vary in difficulty, but are equally beautiful and entertaining.
 
If you visit in the summer, the area is great for backpacking, hiking, and just enjoying the great outdoors and brisk weather of the state of Washington . The Pacific Crest Trail , which runs from Mexico to Canada, goes straight through the Snoqualmie Pass, so enjoy a small portion of the famous trail while in the area, or stop through to enjoy the Washington wilderness while you are hiking the entire trail.
 
Franklin Falls are a beautiful spot to stop and see while in the area. They are one of the top hiking destinations on the west coast.
 
The Snoqualmie Pass is the closest skiing area to the great city of Seattle, so for a break from the quiet life and outdoor recreation, take a drive to the popular tourist city to visit places like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and Kerry Park.
