Auburn, Alabama is located in Lee County and is one half of the rapidly growing Auburn-Opelika area. Auburn is the largest city in eastern Alabama and is affectionately referred to by its residents as  The Loveliest Village on the Plains . Auburn is a southern college town that is home to Auburn University and the Auburn Tigers athletics (NCAA Division I); and with an ever growing population, this city has tons to offer.
 
Throughout the fall months, Auburn football rules the land, and fans of all ages flock to cheer on the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium which seats over 87,000 spectators. But the Auburn Tigers do more than just play football. The Auburn basketball and baseball teams keep fans entertained throughout the remainder of the year as well. (A fun fact: the Auburn University basketball team is proud to call Charles Barkley one of their own!) The campus of Auburn University boasts two great museums and one theater among its many other great attractions. If you’d like to learn a bit about the history of Auburn sports, visit the Jonathan B. Lovelace Athletic Museum and Hall of Honor located on Auburn University’s main campus. The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art At Auburn University is one of the greatest museums in the Auburn-Opelika area. It features permanent collections of great American and European art, a restaurant, gift shop, a series of beautiful gardens, and various travelling exhibitions. Like the theater? Be sure to stop by the Telfair Peet Theatre while you’re on campus to catch a summer dinner show or one of the five plays featured from May through September.
 
For those who love the outdoors, Auburn is the perfect destination. With six golf courses; four nature preserves, including the Chewacla State Park and the Donald E. Davis Arboretum; and the SurfSide Water Park, everyone is sure the be entertained.
