Barbados Rentals By Owner

Want to take a Caribbean Island vacation but you don’t want to just sit around all day in the middle of nowhere and stare out over the ocean waters? Well, in Barbados, there are plenty of opportunities for this kind of relaxing meditation, as well as lots of chances for some true island adventures! What more can you expect from the island home of Mount Gay Rum – just like the rum itself, Barbados can inspire some wild times and some serious relaxation, and that’s all in the same afternoon!

Ease into your Barbados vacation rental with a trip to the Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary. This popular tourist attraction is home to the Graeme Hall Swamp, a mangrove swamp. Tons of fish and egrets frequent the swamp’s waters and the colorful parrots and flamingoes are just begging to have their picture taken!

Then take your Barbados vacation to another level – a subterranean level! Take a trip to Harrison’s Cave. These underground limestone caves are filled with unusual stalactites and stalagmites that have been formed by erosion over the years. Visitors take a tram down into the caves and, at times, can even exit the tram for some up close and personal looks at the formations.

For a taste of the more wild side of Barbados, be sure and visit during July for the Crop Over festival. This annual event is the carnival of the island, complete with bright costumes and a parade. The culmination of the month-long event is Kadooment Day, held on the first Monday in August.

So whether you’re looking to do nothing other than bask in the sun, or whether you want all the excitement that Barbados has to offer, a Barbados vacation rental is the perfect combination!
