Montgomery Rentals By Owner

As Alabama’s capital city, Montgomery has tons for a tourist to do. The city embraces its Southern and American heritage in all regards. The Montgomery Museum of Art features Southern art, amongst other American art, sculpture, porcelain, and glass works. The Hank Williams Museum showcases the famous Southern musician and houses over one of the largest collections of Williams memorabilia in the world. Many other great American musicians got their start in Montgomery, Alabama, including Nat King Cole and Melvin Franklin of the Temptations, so these artists and music are highly regarded and represented throughout the city.
 
For other entertainment music-wise the city is also home of the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, which presents around ten performances a year. Also, the Ed Kimper Trio is a local music group that is well-known on Montgomery’s local rock music scene. To showcase all kinds of musical performers, the city holds its annual Jubilee CityFest. The Jubilee CityFest is a three-day, family-friendly music festival held annually over Memorial Day Weekend.
 
Montgomery was actually the hometown of Zelda Sayre, who would later become the wife of great American novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the home in which they lived was turned in to the F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum.
 
Historically, Montgomery was a huge part of the American Civil Rights Movement. Many places throughout the city are steeped in Civil Rights history. The Civil Rights Memorial in the city is the only monument that was erected to honor those killed during the Civil Rights Movement. Montgomery holds tightly to its Southern and American history, and a visit to the city isn't complete without at least learning that.
