Bulgaria Vacation Fun Facts
Bulgaria Rentals By Owner
Can’t decide on your next vacation rental? Don’t know whether you want to visit the mountains or the coast? Well, take a Bulgaria vacation rental and you can do both! With the Black Sea coast on one side of the country and the snowy Alps on the other, Bulgaria offers up the best of both worlds for your next vacation rental. Start your Bulgaria vacation at the top of the world – or on top of a mountain, at least. Climb to the top of the Rhodopes – it’s said to be the mythical birthplace of Orpheus. Or ski down the powdery slopes at Rila or Pirin. When it’s time to warm up, head on over to the Black Sea Coast and relax on the beaches of Golden Sands, Albena, or Sozopol. Nesebar is a coastal town that offers up many UNESCO World Heritage Sites and medieval churches, while Varna has a notorious nightlife. So whichever way your tastes run, from the historical to the rowdy and everything in between, you can choose your coastal town in Bulgaria accordingly. For one of Bulgaria’s must-see attractions, be sure and visit the Monastery of Saint John of Rila. This monastery is in the Rila Mountains and was founded back in the 10th Century. Rila Monastery is the largest and, possibly, most famous Eastern Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria. Sofia, the capital and the largest city in Bulgaria, is also full of gorgeous Orthodox churches. The culture of Sofia, as with many capital cities, is widely varied and has influences from all around the world. Plus, not too many capital cities can boast such close proximity to a world-famous ski resort! So whether you’re visiting the Belogradchik Rocks, an amazing rock formation that is a nominee for the New Seven Wonders of Nature, or the 200+ archaeological sites of Plovdiv, you can be sure to find plenty of impressive things to see and do during your Bulgaria vacation rental! |
