Lincoln Vacation Rentals and Lodging
Lincoln, NH is a town in the middle of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. The Appalachian Trail crosses through Lincoln and the beautiful town is the location of the Loon Mountain ski resort. It’s a perfect spot for all you outdoorsy people. Go hunting in the White Mountain National Forest in early November to early December. Try climbing at the artifical climbing wall at Loon Mountain or bouldering at the Outback Kayak walls. Rent a kayak or canoe and explore the Elbow Pond, Mirror Lake, Russell Pond, or Long Pond. See the White Mountains up close and personal from the Loon Mountain Gondola or the Cannon Mountain Tramway. Or take in the sights as you soar through the treetops on the Alpine Adventures Zip line tour. On a hot summer day, go visit the Lower Falls, which has pools with both slow and fast-moving water, and relax on the small sandy beaches. For all you golfers out there, tee off at Jack O’Lantern’s 18-hole golf course. The creative type can test out their skills at the Creation Station Pottery Studio. This place, where you can paint your own pottery, makes for a fun rainy day activity as well. Lincoln also has several small shopping malls to visit. Or, take the kids to Whale's Tale Water Park, which has a number of rides and a recently opened side attraction called Castaway Cove. Whale’s Tale is a perfect place to cool down and have some fun on a hot day. But make sure you end your vacation with a scenic dinner train ride on the Café Lafayette Dinner Train, where you’ll travel through the forests of Pemigewasset River and the heart of White Mountain Region of New Hampshire. With so many activities and such gorgeous scenery, it’s no wonder Lincoln, New Hampshire is such a popular place for a vacation. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
