Logan-Hocking Hills Vacation Rentals and Lodging
The two neighboring communities of Logan and Hocking Hills, Ohio are both known for the same thing: their great lake cabin rentals. Featuring nine state parks and state forests, the area is known as an outdoor wonderland. Hocking Hills State Park is separated into six different parts, all which are beautiful in their own rite. The Cedar Falls area is the home of a great waterfall. Ash Cave, Rock House, and Old Man’s Cave showcase interesting rock formations, like a rock bridge. And the others, Cantwell Cliffs and Conkle’s Hollow, have great trails, craggy cliffs, and abundant foliage. The Hocking Hills State Park has both kid-friendly and pet-friendly trails. The Hocking River runs through Logan, and the river is very popular for canoeing and kayaking. There are many rental companies in the area that rent out equipment and give lessons to those that are under-experienced. Because of their water-side locations and love of nature, both Logan and Hocking Hills are known for wildlife watching. There are specific bird-watching trails in the area where it’s easy to spot an American Goldfinch or many species of Sparrows. Throughout the year, a couple of bird-watching activities happen. One of the more popular is Hand-feeding Hummingbirds, where participants make their own feeders and then attempt to feed the birds. Father’s Day Weekend is the biggest weekend of the year in Logan. On that weekend in June, the town and its visitors come together to celebrate and use the washboard as a musical instrument. The Washboard Music Festival brings great jazz music and craft vendors to the area. Because of its remote nature and laid back pastimes, the area is great for a romantic getaway, so for some alone time in a lake cabin rental, visit the great communities of Logan and Hocking Hills. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
