Nestled deep in the Maine wilderness is the hidden jewel of the town of Millinocket. Found in the North Woods, this charming New England town offers visitors friendly residents, breathtaking scenery and good old fashioned hospitality. Millinocket is part of the Katahdin Region of Maine, which is primarily known for unparalleled natural beauty and plenty of Maine attractions in the great outdoors.

Baxter State Park is one of the favorite sights to see while on a Maine vacation. Spanning more than 200,000 acres, the park is home to Maine's tallest peak, Mount Katahdin. There are more than 200 hiking trails and an almost countless variety of wildlife to see in Baxter State Park. Three large lakes - Grand Lake Matagamon, Webster Lake and Nesowadnehunk Lake - are peaceful places to spend an afternoon boating, fishing or swimming, and a multitude of ponds and streams offer solitude and excellent hiking and fishing. Several waterfalls can be found throughout the park, most accessible by hiking trails. When temperatures drop, snowfall in the Millinocket area transforms the area into a winter wonderland and visitors enjoy snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and more. Seasonal events also add to the charm of this area.
