The Wisconsin Dells include the Wisconsin River and its surroundings: Lake Delton, a gorge and its sandstone formations, and small canyons. Water tours of the Dells are among the most popular way to view the canyons, cliffs, and other formations. The Dell Boat Tours run for about two hours and give a history of the area and its inhabitants.
 
Along with the scenic beauty, comes the area’s major tourist draw—waterparks! The Dells are referred to as the "Waterpark Capital of the World." In the summer, visit on the outdoor waterparks. Noah’s Ark is the world’s largest outdoor waterpark and boasts the Black Anaconda Water Roller Coaster. Gain speed as you whoosh through the world’s longest watercoaster. Since waterparks are the Dells greatest attraction, they, of course, have indoor waterparks to be enjoyed 365 days a year. The Kalahari Waterpark allows its guests to surf year round on its most popular ride, the FlowRider. On the FlowRider, several hundreds of gallons of water are surged upwards every minute to create a five foot wave.
 
The Wisconsin Dells have upwards of 30 indoor and outdoor waterparks open year round. Other theme parks include the golf and mini golf courses, go kart tracks, Tommy Bartlett’s Thrill Show. Tommy Bartlett’s Thrill Show is performed on the water with professional water skiers and jumping boats on Lake Delton. The show runs from May to September. The "Waterpark Capital of the World" is a great place to take a family vacation. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a city more well-suited for childlike fun!
