Croatia Vacation Rentals

So Croatia isn’t the first place you think of when you’re thinking of your next vacation rental site? Well, think again! This crescent-shaped country is abundant with central plains, inland lakes, scenic mountain areas, and rocky coasts. Plenty of famous national parks and thousands of offshore islands add to the beauty of Croatia.

For a little dose of history, stop by one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Croatia – among them are the Historical City of Trogir, the Cathedral of Saint James in Šibenik, Croatia, and Stari Grad Plain on Island Hvar. Or stop by the Benedictine monastery in the middle of the Big Lake in Mljet, Croatia – this building originated in the 12th century.

For some unique and unparalleled Croatian beauty, be sure and travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to 16 different inland lakes complete with blue waterfalls and beautiful cascades. The famous national park is also home to bears, wolves, and over 120 different species of birds. Or stop by Island Hvar where the sun shines over 300 days a year – the abundant sunshine makes for some fragrant lavender that blooms everywhere in the summer. Or visit Island Mljet– the majority of this scenic island is covered by forests and the remainder by open fields and vineyards. There’s a national park on Island Mljet with many cozy coves and two saltwater lakes.

Whether you are checking out the gorgeous coastal views on the Lungomare boardwalk at Opatija, Croatia or you are visiting the Kopački Rit, the largest natural wetlands in Europe, you will see why Croatia is quickly becoming one of the world’s best vacation rental sites.
