One of the least populated and most exclusive islands in the Hawaiian Islands, Lanai Island is a secluded paradise for certain. Arrival and departure takes place only through interisland travel in one of two ways – either short interisland flights between Lanai and Honolulu or Maui or via ferry from Maui. Swimming is prohibited off Shipwreck Beach, but it’s a perfect spot to search for hidden treasure along the shore. At the end of the day, don’t forget a sunset visit to the "garden of the gods" in Keahiakawelo for some quiet contemplation among the incredible and mysterious rock formations.
 
Two other Lanai attractions are the championship golf courses that call the island home. Visitors can choose from The Challenge at Manele designed by Jack Nicklaus or The Experience at Koele, a Greg Norman designed course.
